Salary:  Point 3 – full time rate £18,065, £5,283.73 pro rata  Hours of work are 8.30 am – 11.00 am, Monday to Friday, 12.5 hours per week, term time only (39 weeks) Fixed Term Contract to end of July 2020 The post is subject to an enhanced DBS check. 
We are seeking to appoint a professional, enthusiastic and courteous Receptionist and Administrative Assistant to join our team, who will be based primarily on our busy reception.  The ideal candidate will be personable, have experience in a customer facing role and enjoy dealing with people, both in person and on the telephone.  Strong communication skills are essential, as is the ability to manage high volume calls and welcome visitors in an efficient manner.  An ability to deal sensitively with issues and successfully manage conflict will also be required.   
Key roles and responsibilities: 
▪ Answering telephone calls and directing/transferring callers as necessary; ▪ Greeting visitors and carrying out all visitor protocols; ▪ Provide general school administration support, contributing to the work of the wider Office team; ▪ Undertake other duties to effectively support the Headteacher. 
The successful candidate will have previous administration experience, have good attention to detail and an ability to work with initiative.  In return, we offer the opportunity to work as part of a successful and supportive team and with polite and courteous students!
